TechChina drafts guidelines to strengthen online protection for minors
China’s Cyberspace Administration has released draft guidelines for public comment through October 17 to promote safer internet use by minors. The proposal would require services for users under 16, including social networking and potentially cognition-affecting AI services, to operate through a minor mode, while barring services involving strangers, virtual intimacy or addictive content.
