ScienceChina targets first-in-class drugs exceeding 25% of global total by 2030
China’s pharmaceutical industry development plan for the 2026-2030 period aims for the country’s first-in-class new drugs to exceed 25% of the global total by 2030. It also targets more than 3.5 trillion yuan in revenue from large pharmaceutical manufacturers, annual innovative-drug growth above 20%, and at least 50 companies with revenue exceeding 10 billion yuan.
