WorldTrump signs sweeping Russia sanctions bill into law

President Donald Trump signed legislation imposing new sanctions and tariff measures on Russia on Sept. 18. The law requires tariffs of up to 100% on goods from certain major buyers of Russian energy, allows tariffs of up to 500% on direct imports from Russia, targets Russian officials and entities, and extends the Iran Sanctions Act for five years. President Volodymyr Zelensky welcomed the move.
