US officials removed an Alibaba Qwen AI search tool from the Federal Register website after users highlighted that the National Archives had deployed it while the FBI accused Alibaba and other Chinese firms of industrial-scale distillation of US AI models. The agency, the White House and the FBI have not commented on the removal.
