PoliticsGrynspan pulls ahead in race for UN chief, source says

UNCTAD Secretary-General Rebeca Grynspan received the strongest backing in the latest UN Security Council straw poll for the next UN secretary-general, with nine members supporting her, five opposing and one withholding an opinion. Guyana’s candidate Carolyn Rodrigues-Birkett came second with eight votes in favor.
