PoliticsExiled Russian opposition urges voters to gather at noon during main day of Duma election
Actor Nikita Kukushkin has released a video backing Ilya Yashin and other exiled opposition figures’ “Noon for a Peaceful Russia” campaign. They are urging Russians to go to polling stations at noon on September 20, the main day of State Duma voting, as a legal way to oppose the war. The video borrows from a 1971 U.S. anti-Vietnam War ad.
