An estimated 125,000 people, including more than 57,000 children, have fled since fighting began in July between Iran-backed Houthi rebels, Yemen’s government and its Saudi ally. The UN calls it one of Yemen’s fastest and most volatile displacement waves in years. Thousands are risking the Bab el-Mandeb crossing to Djibouti, often in extreme heat and without enough water.
