A University of Cambridge study says fighters from Boko Haram’s two factions routinely used ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Meta AI and DeepSeek for technical and military advice, including building more powerful bombs, planning attacks and solving combat problems. Material obtained by Al Jazeera also shows ISIL supporters sharing methods to bypass AI safeguards and obtain weapons information.
