Victoria’s anti-corruption watchdog, IBAC, has charged a detective senior constable with common assault, alleging the officer repeatedly punched and kicked a handcuffed, compliant teenager after an arrest in Ballarat in October 2025. The officer is due in Ballarat magistrates’ court on 26 October.
