The Canadian government says nearly $500 billion in new investment will enter the country following the first Canada Investment Summit in Toronto. Investors from nearly 30 countries, overseeing more than $100 trillion in assets, attended the two-day event, where about 167 projects were discussed and major investments went to energy, critical minerals and AI. The summit also drew criticism over the climate crisis.
