The Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo is still spreading, but WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus says conditions are showing encouraging improvement. The country has recorded 3,510 deaths and 7,258 infections, while 903 symptomatic patients are in hospitals or isolation facilities. Seven provinces are affected, with Ituri accounting for 78% of confirmed cases.
