WorldUS issues visas to Iran’s president and foreign minister for UN session
The United States approved visas for Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to attend the UN General Assembly in New York. The State Department said the delegation would face travel restrictions and limits on luxury-goods purchases, and would be smaller than last year. The announcement came a day after the US denied visas to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and his delegation, amid a US-Iran conflict lasting more than six months.
