Russian President Vladimir Putin has extended a 2014 embargo on agricultural products from Western countries through December 31, 2028. Introduced in response to what Russia called the West’s “unfriendly actions,” the measure covers goods from the US, EU, Australia, Norway and Canada, and was later expanded to other European countries and Ukraine.
