PoliticsRussia’s prosecutor general says heirs can lose assets tied to corruption

Prosecutor General Alexander Gutsan said at a meeting in Minsk that confiscating crime-derived assets from heirs of people implicated in corruption is consistent with law and justice. He said such property can be seized regardless of how long it was held, whether it changed hands, or whether the corrupt person has died. The Prosecutor General’s Office regularly pursues such cases, including against Rusagro owner Vadim Moshkovich.
