Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Alimov called the rushed, total abandonment of hydrocarbons promoted by some developed countries in favor of a supposedly “pure green economy” an act of “green hypocrisy.” He said such rejection is an ill-conceived way to slow global warming and that purely green economies do not currently exist.
