The Fitzroy River course in Rockhampton, Queensland, has passed an independent technical assessment and been approved for rowing and canoeing at the 2032 Brisbane Olympics and Paralympics. The review examined weather, water levels and flood risks, but did not assess the river’s roughly 500 saltwater crocodiles.
