PoliticsEU announces plan to restrict social media access for children
The EU has announced plans to limit social media access for under-16s. Children under 13 would be barred from platforms, while those aged 13 to 15 could use them for up to an hour a day through parent-linked “mini accounts”. Only people aged 15 and over could create their own accounts, and platforms would have to demonstrate that they are safe by design.
