TechAvalanche’s Helicon upgrade cuts validator lockups from 14 days to 48 hours

Avalanche plans to activate Helicon on its mainnet on Sept. 22 at 15:00 UTC. The upgrade will reduce the minimum Primary Network validation period from 336 hours to 48, enable automatic renewal for validators’ own stake, raise the reward uptime threshold for new periods to 90%, and lower the shortest-duration annualized reward rate by about 1.3%.
