TechHong Kong targets breakthroughs in core technologies
Hong Kong plans to intensify efforts to become an international innovation and technology center, focusing on breakthroughs in artificial intelligence and life sciences. Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu said an Innovation and Technology Industry-Oriented Fund is expected this year, with HK$10 billion in government funding and a projected total size of at least HK$40 billion.
