WorldUS orbital weapon becomes part of arsenal against Russian, Chinese satellites, Bloomberg reports
The US now has an orbital weapon in addition to ground-based systems that can temporarily jam Russian and Chinese communications satellites, Bloomberg reported. Air Force Secretary Troy Meink said the weapon can control outer space, while Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said the remarks show Washington seeks to deploy weapons there and urged steps to prevent an arms race.
