Russia’s veterinary watchdog, Rosselkhoznadzor, says it found live Aujeszky’s disease virus in samples from batch No. 20 of the Multikan-8 dog vaccine collected in Yaroslavl region. The agency said this confirms a causal link to mass dog deaths. The 60,000-dose batch was ordered destroyed; manufacturer Vetbiokhim recalled four batches and offered compensation without acknowledging the link.
