TechIranian strikes on Amazon data centers caused permanent loss of customer data

Six months after Iranian drone strikes damaged multiple Amazon data centers, Amazon Web Services acknowledged that some customer data hosted in Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates was permanently lost. AWS said it could not restore access to resources and data in some war-damaged facilities, including one of three availability zones in the UAE region.
