Security researcher Matthew “Zigula” Gore-Kormanik found that a supposed video call with “Jennifer” on the fraudulent dating app Dora featured no real person. Anthropic says a network of about 28 dating apps used mostly autonomous AI personas to chat with users and catfish them, while many of the apps remained available in both major US app stores.
