North Korea’s Defense Ministry accused the United States and South Korea of preparing to use nuclear, chemical and biological weapons under the pretext of countering WMD threats. Pyongyang said such scenarios were practiced during the Freedom Shield exercises and warned that its nuclear-weapons policy law could be invoked in response.
