More than 130 billion yuan ($19.4 billion) had been secured for rural construction projects across China by the end of August, CCTV News reported. The country’s rural roads now span 4.7 million kilometers. In Zanhuang County, Hebei, over 40 million yuan was invested this year in roads and streetlights, while water, sanitation, waste treatment and elderly-care facilities also improved.
