CultureAlice Springs metal venue raises $1m to fight closure

The Black Wreath, Alice Springs’ only dedicated live music venue, has raised A$1m through a month-long crowdfunding campaign to help its volunteer operators buy the site and place it in a trust. The campaign is only the first step: the owners are asking A$1.23m, and the venue is seeking further support.
