TechVoters mostly dislike AI and data centers, but neither party appears to have an edge
A New York Times–Siena University poll found that 61 percent of 1,503 likely voters opposed building data centers to power AI, while only 14 percent strongly supported them. Environmental and water-use concerns were the leading reason for opposition. Despite the issue’s unpopularity, AI and data centers ranked below one percent as a top midterm voting issue for most groups, and neither party held a clear advantage on handling it.
