EconomyCoinEx exits after nine years as crypto trading concentrates among largest exchanges

Crypto exchange CoinEx will wind down in stages, ending spot trading on Sept. 29 and withdrawals on Dec. 22. Founder Haipo Yang cited falling revenue, rising compliance costs and the difficulty of carrying security risks at limited scale. Trading volume has rebounded, but activity is increasingly concentrated among the largest platforms, led by Binance.
