Turkish authorities raided LGBTQ+ activists and organizations in Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir over the weekend, arresting several people and blocking more than 100 related accounts. Turkish organizations, women’s rights groups and Brussels condemned the actions as discriminatory and a human rights violation, while protesters called for the release of those detained.
