Unionized health-care workers with CUPE 5430, Saskatchewan’s largest local by far, voted 99 per cent in favour of job action in the province’s biggest strike vote. They have been without a contract since March 2023 and without a pay raise for more than 4½ years, and are seeking higher wages and safer staffing.
