Olara Otunnu, a candidate for UN secretary-general and Uganda’s former permanent representative to the organization, urged urgent cooperation with key stakeholders to convene a global peace conference aimed at immediately ending the conflict in Ukraine. He also called for international efforts on postwar reconstruction and support for those affected, especially women and children.
