SocietyMetal pipes placed on tracks disrupt train service across much of the Netherlands
Train service was severely disrupted across much of the Netherlands after metal pipes were placed on or attached to railway tracks. ProRail said signaling and safety systems failed at least 30 locations, leading it to suspect sabotage and refer questions about those responsible to police. Service remained limited on some routes, with restoration timing unclear.
