TechBitcoin’s latest mobile privacy feature could make incoming payments invisible

Silent Payments offer reusable Bitcoin addresses without exposing an obvious payment trail to the address. A September measurement found that BlindBit Oracle v2’s complete scanning feed would use about 8 MB per day near the dataset’s upper end, suggesting mobile bandwidth may be manageable. But light wallets rely on indexers for complete data, so an omitted entry could hide a genuine payment. The key tradeoff is verifiability, not download size.
