European gas prices are likely to stay high for at least several months and could rise well above $1,000 per 1,000 cubic meters, experts told TASS. The TTF October contract reached about $1,004 on September 14, while storage stood at 68%, its lowest seasonal level since records began in 2011. One expert said low inventories and the EU’s rejection of Russian gas were worsening the situation, making increased Russian purchases the only realistic solution.
