EconomyChina starts construction of major offshore oil and gas project for Qatar

Construction has begun in Qingdao, Shandong, on the $4 billion Qatar BH EPIC project for the Bul Hanine oilfield. COOEC calls it the largest international offshore oil and gas contract by value undertaken by a Chinese company. The project covers more than 60 offshore facilities, 40 subsea pipelines and cables, and platform modifications and removals.
