A court in El Salvador has sentenced a 39-year-old man to life in prison for aggravated femicide, the first such sentence in the country’s history. Prosecutors said he had repeatedly harassed his neighbor before stabbing her to death in Santa Ana. The conviction came 42 days after the killing.
