Italian Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini said he wants the conflict in Ukraine to end quickly so weapons, attacks, bombings and deaths stop and diplomacy can resume its role. He expressed hope that Italy’s relations with Russia would be restored swiftly after the conflict and said he does not regard Russia as a threat.
