TechVolvo’s XC60 and XC90 plug-in hybrids promise much longer electric range
Volvo says updated plug-in hybrid versions of its XC60 and XC90 SUVs could deliver 78 and 73 miles of electric range, respectively—more than twice that of the previous variants. They use larger 41.2kWh batteries, add driver-assistance features and Google’s Gemini voice assistant, with production starting in late fall 2026 and deliveries planned for early 2027.
