The 2026 China Carbon Market Conference in Wuhan released the National Carbon Market Development Report (2026). It said cumulative transactions in the national carbon emissions trading market exceeded 900 million metric tons by the end of August, with a total value above 60 billion yuan, or about $8.9 billion.
