Starting March 1, 2027, Russia will permit unrestricted sales of certified civilian gas masks, including children’s models, the Emergency Situations Ministry said. Gas masks had been subject to sales restrictions since 1992, until Vladimir Putin issued a decree removing them from the list. The ministry said new standards would help monitor quality and curb counterfeit and substandard products.
