ScienceBrazil interested in Russia’s small modular reactor technology, ambassador says
Brazil is closely following Russia’s development of small modular nuclear reactors, Ambassador Sergio Rodrigues dos Santos said. The technology could supply electricity to remote areas outside the centralized grid, but its implementation would require scientific, regulatory, legal and safety assessments. Discussions remain at the research stage.
