Economy“Offensively cheap”: Solar power is looking up

In Chakwal, north-central Pakistan, Bestway Cement is covering dry land and olive and peach groves with solar panels. The company says the project will add 6.34 MW by year-end to its existing 26 MW photovoltaic capacity. Solar already supplies more than a quarter of the electricity used by its cement plant, helping it compete with rivals adopting the same approach.
