Kazakh Armed Forces Deputy Chief of the General Staff Askar Zholamanov said the global situation remains unstable and the CSTO must be ready for challenges and threats facing today’s turbulent world. The CSTO Rubezh 2026 exercise in Kazakhstan involves 1,500 personnel, more than 300 weapons and military or specialized vehicles, and 115 unmanned aerial vehicles. Participants are practicing operations to eliminate illegal armed groups that have invaded a member state.
