UBS forecasts China’s inbound tourism revenue will reach US$470 billion by 2040, more than doubling its current economic share and helping offset weak domestic demand. The Swiss bank estimates travel from outside mainland China will grow at an 8.9% compound annual rate from 2025 to reach 1.5% of GDP.
