EconomyDmitriev calls European gas price surge a natural result of Eurocrats’ policies

Kirill Dmitriev, Russia’s presidential special representative for investment and foreign economic cooperation and head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, said Europe’s rising gas prices were a natural consequence of what he called Eurocrats’ failed energy policies. He said prices would keep climbing. European gas prices topped $1,000 per 1,000 cubic meters on Monday for the first time since December 2022, with October futures at the Dutch TTF hub reaching about $1,004, or €84.07 per MWh.
