With 95% of votes counted, the left-leaning opposition bloc led by Magdalena Andersson’s Social Democrats is ahead of the centre-right coalition and its far-right Sweden Democrats partners by 176 seats to 173. The result is not yet formally settled. Parliament meets on 28 September to elect a speaker, and government formation could take weeks or months.
