CultureQueen’s secret Whitlam correspondence inspires Sydney Theatre Company play in 2027

Sydney Theatre Company will stage The Palace Letters, a play about historian Jenny Hocking’s legal fight to release secret correspondence involving Queen Elizabeth II, Malcolm Fraser and governor general John Kerr. It will premiere at the Sydney Opera House in April 2027, alongside new productions and returning hits including The Picture of Dorian Gray.
