European gas prices exceeded $1,000 per 1,000 cubic meters during Monday trading for the first time since December 2022, according to data from London’s ICE exchange. October futures at the Netherlands’ TTF hub climbed to about $1,004, or 84.07 euros per MWh, while spot prices at major European hubs had already passed $1,000 last week.
