TechHackers mint trillions in fake Bitcoin; 15 BTC recovered but liquidity providers remain unpaid
Cross-chain protocol Symbiosis says it recovered about 15 BTC after an attacker exploited its native Bitcoin Bridge, but it has not set compensation terms for affected liquidity providers. Blockaid reported that roughly 2^62 raw units of synthetic bitcoin were minted on BNB Chain, while about 4.39 WBTC was sold for around $336,000. The native bridge remains paused and final losses are unsettled.
