A representative of Yemen’s pro-government forces said 500 fighters were killed and about 1,500 wounded in clashes with the Houthis along the country’s southwestern coast from August 9 to September 10. The Houthis also launched an offensive and missile and drone strikes near the Red Sea and Taiz, seeking to cut routes to Mokha and move toward the Bab el-Mandeb Strait. The representative alleged that Iran’s IRGC and its allies supported the attacks.
